An Update From Our Founder
Entrepreneurs do what they do for the love of their business, employees, and their family. Always creating, always thinking, always climbing…
There are many good qualities in each entrepreneur, but usually only one common denominator:
They surround themselves with great people!
The Climb Began
Thermaxx was no different. 10 years ago, we had a vision to bring technology into the removable insulation market.
My job was to build that team, build that technology, and build that brand.
We assembled a team of brilliant engineers, sophisticated & tech savvy business developers, a dedicated manufacturing staff and a laser focused administration team.
Today, this great team has successfully disrupted a market and changed it forever. Thermaxx has changed the way removable insulation jackets are sold, manufactured, installed, and maintained.
We saw the Thermaxx family grow from 5 to 80 employees. We manufactured hundreds of thousands of products and shipped those products throughout North America. Our impact on the climate/environment was just as impressive. Our insulation has saved our customers tens of millions of dollars and is currently saving over 2.4 trillion Btu’s/Yr. in wasted energy.
The Climb continues…
On July 21st, 2021, phase 2 begins.
Thermaxx was acquired by Specialty Products and Insulation (SPI). Headquartered in Charlotte, NC, SPI is a value-added distributor and fabricator of mechanical insulation and complementary products for commercial, industrial and residential applications. The Company currently operates 57 distribution branches and 15 co-located fabrication facilities and sells to over 3,500 contractors in the U.S. and Canada.
I am looking forward to reaching the next peak of the climb. I can only imagine how fun and rewarding the next part of the journey will be for the SPI-Thermaxx family.
