Thermaxx Attends "CT Made Day" Hosted by Rep. Simmons
Thermaxx was honored to be invited to attend the first "CT Made Day" trade show at the capitol building in Hartford, CT hosted by Representative Caroline Simmons.
Rep. Simmons said, "We had amazing turnout with over 40 businesses from 35 towns attending - everything from breweries to small manufacturers to Fortune 500 companies. As Commerce Committee Chairwoman, it is and will always be my goal to ensure that Connecticut businesses have the tools that they need to thrive. Thank you to all the businesses, lawmakers, and guests that helped to make this event such a huge success!"
Ben Grace, one of Thermaxx's top Sales Technicians, attended the show and shared his experience, “I could not have asked for a more pleasant and welcoming experience. This was my first event in the capitol building and I can not wait to return!
The hosts, attendees, and peer companies I met were not only genuinely interested in the products on display, but also the people behind the products. This type of hospitality fostered an extremely friendly environment and made conversation with neighbors a pleasure. Before the show even started I had a great discussion with my neighbor, Matthew Freund, president and owner of CowPots, a business focused on biodegradable plantable pots. Although we both come from two very different industries, we were able to find common ground as budding businesses looking to bring growth and innovation to our communities and local economies.
As the day went on, I found myself having several conversations with patrons and fellow vendors ranging from insulation, to baseball, and everything in-between. Each one seemed to cover a unique topic, and that truly showcased the importance of expos such as this. It was a very well-put-together event. I look forward to next year’s gathering and seeing the success of ours and other Connecticut businesses grow!”
